A word about garlic and onions... I know lots of people LOVE to use garlic and onion in recipes because I find them in like every vegan recipe I see. I'm not stopping you and I don't want to stop you from using them. I'm just pointing out, in case you are wondering, that many of my original recipes will be void of these ingredients in accordance with yoga philosophy which reveals that eating garlic and onion (other than for medicinal purposes) is rajasic -a guna characterised by qualities of over activity. And because we want to possess calm and focused minds garlic and onion are foods we should avoid- again, according to yoga philosophy. Don't shoot the messenger! At times I use these ingredients myself and you can choose to leave garlic and onion out of the recipes that include them or add them into the ones that don't.
